Speaks English, Urdu

Inspired by the rhythms of contemporary life, Rooj’s work is rooted in restoring harmony of body, breath and spirit.

Rooj’s relationship with wellness and movement began early in life. After spending nearly a decade training as a competitive athlete, a challenging juncture prompted a desire to turn inward. This intuitively led her to the practice of yoga, and in turn, to the realization that this was only the beginning of a lifelong exploration of holistic healing.

Her growing inquisitiveness took her to Chiang Mai, Thailand, where she studied Traditional Thai Massage at Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai. She completed her Yoga Teacher Training shortly after and has been teaching since 2017. She is currently pursuing her studies in Yoga Therapy.

Rooj offers two flavours of yoga in her classes at Curate Health, each driven by her endeavour to hold space for students to discover deeper internal connection. Vinyasa classes are designed to encourage mindfulness through playful, yet practical, exploration of body mechanics. Gentle, therapeutic classes facilitate recovery and restoration, enabling individuals to tap into their own boundless healing potential.

In addition to teaching classical āsana and prānāyāma techniques, she draws inspiration from a range of modalities that support healing, resilience, and authentic expression. These include natural and primal movement, functional mobility work, and Yoga Therapy.

Blending softness with form, and curiosity with discipline, she delivers experiences that honour breath as the anchor of movement, and embodiment as the path to integration and wholeness.
